The whimsical "Baracky" video thrilled primary voters, and now a new sequel has hit Youtube with fresh parodies of the general election.
The spot features big-head cut-outs of Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain slapped on boxers’ bodies from "Rocky." They tussle with interspered clips of McCain’s negative campaign, and soon the maverick looks like a dirty fighter with a sexist attitude. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and her husband pop in for some unity events; there’s (real) footage of the famous joint rally in New Hampshire, but also altered movie clips of the Clintons joshing around in the pool and a Hillary-Barack training session. Basically, you have to see it to get it — though McCain is probably hoping this one doesn’t go viral.
PRODUCTION NOTES: Sometimes the sequel is better. "Baracky II" is an instant YouTube classic — a lightheated romp through recent campaign dust-ups, served with relentless Democratic spin. The soundtrack is "Rocky," the tone is happy warrior and the star of this movie is presented as a bigger deal than Sylvester Stallone.
