Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York tweeted, “Memo to our President: Why are we always punting on 3rd down? Lets get our offense on the field.” Sen. Tom Harkin said it was “not the best deal for our country.”
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was so outraged by the deal that he announcedthat he would seek to filibuster the bill when it came up for a vote.
