U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, said Friday morning “the time is right” to enter the GOP presidential race.
Paul decided to enter the race because the “time has come around to the point where the people are agreeing with much of what I’ve been saying for 30 years.”
It is the Congressman’s third bid for the White House. He ran in 2008, losing the nomination to John McCain, and in 1988, as a member of the Libertarian Party. Buzz has already started over Paul: last week, he raised more than $1 million leading up to the first GOP debate in South Carolina.
