Colorado lawmakers failed to complete a congressional redistricting map this session. The courts now have to draw the lines. If the PolicyLink “America’s Tomorrow” map is accurate– and there’s no reason to believe it’s not– Colorado semi-swing districts 3 and 4 will see dramatic demographic change in the next two decades and beyond. If GOP politics don’t significantly evolve soon, those districts, even as they’re drawn right now, will be the Democrats’ to lose.
