Isabella County Circuit Court Judge Paul Chamberlain has issued an injunction to stop the Central Michigan University Faculty Association strike.
WKAR radio reported the news on its Facebook page:
From the Michigan Public Radio Network’s Amy Robinson in Mt. Pleasant: Isabella County Circuit judge Paul Chamberlain this afternoon signed a Central Michigan University injunction ordering the school’s unionized faculty members back to work. The court also has scheduled a hearing for Friday at 9:00am to hear arguments in the case.
Faculty members went on strike at 7 a.m. Monday to protest what they say is unfair bargaining behavior by the administration. President George Ross Monday morning chastisedthe instructors for not being in their classroom.
