“Mitt Romney is the candidate we need to put this country back on the right track,” said Miller. “As governor, he balanced the budget and created jobs without raising taxes. He knows what is needed to get the economy moving again and has the private sector and government experience to do just that.”
Miller, a retired registered nurse, led the Human Resources Committee and served on the Education and Labor Committees during this year’s legislative session. She first began to serve in the Iowa House in 2006.
In addition, the Romney campaign announced former U.S. Rep. Vin Weber(R-Minn) will serve as a special advisor on policy matters. Weber, until recently, was a co-campaign chair for former GOP presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty. He served in Congress in the 1980′s and early 1990′s.
Pawlenty, who finished third in the Straw Poll, dropped out of the presidential race the day after the poll. Romney opted to not participate this round.
“I am proud to have Vin’s support,” Romney said. “Vin will be a trusted adviser and I look forward to working with him to help get our country moving in the right direction again.”
