Three lawmakers from Minnesota have requested extensions for filing mandated financial disclosure reports.
The reports, by Rep. Michele Bachmann, Rep. Chip Cravaack and Sen. Al Franken, will now be due on Aug. 12, according to MPR. For each of the lawmakers, it’s the second extension they’ve requested since the original June deadline.
The disclosures made in the reports include lists of investments, income, property and sponsored travel.
Cravaack, who was elected to Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District last year, has yet to file a financial disclosure.
In Bachmann’s 2010 filing(see PDF below), she listed only the income from Bachmann & Associates, the clinic she and her husband run. She also listed her husband’s family farm in Independence, Wis., as an asset. Both the clinicand the farmhave collected payments from the federal government, which could prove to be a liability in Bachmann’s so-far successful run at the Republican nomination for president.
Franken also requested an extension last year. His assets last yearincluded Al Franken, Inc., which he valued at between $500,000 and $1 million.
