If readers have questions on where, when or how to vote, The Iowa Independent staff recommends a visit to the League of Women Voters’ site, Vote411.org. The site has all the information you need on how to register to vote (you can register at the polls in Iowa), where to vote in your local area, what to bring to the polling place and all the relevant laws governing the process.
And if you run into any problems at the polling places tomorrow — long lines, not enough ballots, attempts to intimidate, poll watchers unjustifiably challenging voters, etc. — we encourage you to report that news to the world by using the Twitter hashtag #votingproblems and by emailingThe Independent.
Although many headlines have focused on the special election in Iowa Senate District 18, there are a host of municipal and other elections being held throughout the state.
