Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) added one more a superdelegate before the close of business today. Jaime A. Gonzalez Jr., a Texas Democratic National Committee member, is backing the New York senator. Gonzalez, per the release:
I am supporting Hillary Clinton because I am convinced that she is the best choice for President…She has shown the leadership qualities that we need to win the presidency in the general election and give Democrats a victory in November.
Gonzalez has been a member of the DNC since 2000. He is also a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. His endorsement gives Clinton 273 superdelegates, while Obama has 250, updating MSNBC’stally.
While Obama opened the past two days with two bigblows, it appears Clinton is getting one in here right before the weekend bell.
