Hillary Clinton’s campaign apparently had such a good hit with its first "It’s 3am…there’s a phone ringingin the White House" ad that it’s just put out another.
This time, though, <a id="rg9r" href="http://thepage.time.com/2008/04/02/clinton-goes-after-mccain-on-economy-with-3am-ringing-phone/" title=""the crisis is economic"">"the crisis is economic" and the target isn’t Barack Obama.
John McCain just said the government shouldn’t take any real action on the housing crisis, he’d let the phone keep ringing.
The ad is running in Pennsylvania, where both Democrats have been hitting hard on the economy.
Meanwhile, thanks to TPM’s Election Central for highlighting what that master of disaster, Karl Rove, had to say about the first red-phone ad.
"It was a gutsy, dangerous move," Rove told GQ. Could there be higher praise?
