His spot on the Republican ticket assured, John McCain got the royal treatmentWednesday at the White House. Things are looking so good, in fact, that, after a quick stop in New Hampshire — the place that started it all — he’s even going to leave the country for a while.

Immediately following his New Hampshire trek, McCain will head overseas on a 10-day congressional delegation trip to Europe and the Middle East that will coincide with the Senate’s spring recess.
