There’s still one thing I’m wondering about from yesterday’s happenings at CPAC.
I know that George Allen, the former Virginia senator, never met a football metaphor he didn’t like.
But when he explained his decision to endorse John McCain, after first backing Fred Thompson, it seems the big game had something to do with it.
"Before the Super Bowl, I wanted to make a decision," Allen said, as if that was some kind of explanation.
Hmm. Maybe he can’t focus on the field with such weighty things hanging around his to-do list.
