This is a shame: StoptheACLU.com, a useful window into the mainstream talk radio right, has descended into Barack Obama Birtherism. Blogger William Teach attacks the Nashville press for its mockery of the Tennessee Republican state representativeswho, lacking anything better to do, have demanded the birth records of “Barry Soetoro a.k.a. Barack Hussein Obama.”
According to blogger William Teach, this is unfair: the president has only produced a Hawai’ian certificate of live birth that “some think was falsified” (”some” meaning, in this case, fraudsters who have falsified their forensic credentials). Teach also pushes the lie that President Obama spent “hundreds of thousands, and perhaps over a million dollars” knocking back birth certificate lawsuits, which is an utter myth—the time that candidate and President Obama’s lawyers spent tangling with legal minds like Andy “exterminate Jew power” Martinwas a fraction of the time they spent working on, for example, Colorado voter registration protection.
Yet Teach pulls back those conspiracy theories right after airing them.
Now, look, to be clear, I believe Obambi is a natural born citizen. My personal little theory is that he was born out of wedlock, and his Mom wanted to make it look like he was legitimate. As good a conspiracy theory as any other.
That last sentence is a clip-and-saver.
