“„QUESTION:Did you get any sign from the Iranians that they are going to attend this conference?
MR. WOOD:I haven’t heard anything about the Iranians attending. But I would refer you to the host of the conference or to the Iranians.
I once spent the better part of a lovely afternoon in Irbil, Iraqi Kurdistan trying to get an appointment with the Iranian attache office in the city. Pretended to be Canadian and everything. It turns out the Iranians aren’t very concerned about your deadline. (Or worse.)
The next person who ticks me off? I’m referring him to the Iranians.
