Earlier this month, former GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee took a stagein the coal country of Southwest Virginia and, stumping for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell, told the** **Tazewell County crowdthat the people of Northern Virginia “aren’t necessarily thinking the same way folks like you and I think.”
“„We can’t let one vote get left behind here because there’s gonna be some folks up there near the Beltway, and I need to let you know — I’m sure you already know this — but they aren’t necessarily thinking the same way folks like you and I think.
“„They really believe that we oughta just be really nice and not ever dig into the earth and get our energy out of there. I guess it’s OK to get it out of somebody else’s earth, just not our own.

Around lunchtime today, Huckabee will be in Tysons Corner, Virginia, stumping for state attorney general hopeful Ken Cuccinelli. Tysons is about a dozen miles from the White House and a stone’s throw from the Beltway. Who wants to wager that Huckabee won’t repeat his earlier remarks?
