This is sort of crazy: It doesn’t take some deep reading of the text to see that the First Lady was making light of all the advantages of White House life. If there’s a larger lesson here, it’s that the flowering of conservative media outlets are leading to the creation of so many “gaffes” and “scandals” that none of them are really sticking. Michelle Obama’s approval ratingis above 70 percent.
