Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.) endorses GOP Senate candidate Pat Toomey, staying on message:
Pat is the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party for the United States Senate… He is the front runner, and I believe he’s going to be well-positioned and prepared to face whoever the Democrats nominate. I’m supporting him because I think he’s a fine man, a friend, and I think he’s going to be able to pull the Republican Party together. He’s going to be able to unite people of different ideological persuasions.
Endorsements can be rolled back, obviously, but endorsements from members of the Pennsylvania delegation to the House matter because the National Republican Senatorial Committee is trying to draft one of them to oppose Toomey.
