For the past five days, the Iranian opposition has been subject to vicious beatings at the hands of regime goons, with at least eight people killed. Now it’s being told that it can be murdered if it doesn’t shut up, according to The New York Times: “We warn the few elements controlled by foreigners who try to disrupt domestic security by inciting individuals to destroy and to commit arson that the Islamic penal code for such individuals waging war against God is execution,” said the senior prosecutor in the city of Isfahan. This is life and death.
