Greg Sargent asks whetherthe unanimously passed Hawaii statehood anniversary resolution in the House will “reveal how absurd it is for Lou Dobbs to continue to turn CNN’s airwaves over to birthers.” We don’t know how it will affect the birthers themselves, but thereaction from FreeRepublic, a conservative activist site, isn’t promising.
Instead of a resolution maybe they could just show the original BC? Would that not be much simpler?
A resolution could say he came from Mars (or Venus?). Wouldn’t make it so.
WHAT is going on here! This is like Senate Resolution 511. It smacks of desperation.
THIS CONFIRMS MY BELIEF THAT THE LEFT WANTS TO KEEP THIS ISSUE ALIVE TO DISTRACT FROM THE OBAMACARE OBAMA-NATION.
So instead of writing a resolution demanding Obama to present proof of his Constitutional elibility, they write one declaring their OPINION on the matter. Fishy, very fishy.
now a member of the house is on record as objecting and could cause this to be heard by committee and could possibly actually force them (Ospamma) to produce a legal document proving it. To keep the resolution from being reversed as unconstitutional Or possibly causing the Supreme to hear the case
This resolution is like sticking a knife in the back of Americans, then twisting it.
And finally:
Actually, a piece of legislation like this would be great fodder for continuing the court cases seeking rememdy for the birth cert issue.
It would make it easier for a court to order Hawaii to release the birth cert….since now any birther can claim they need the birth cert. to prove that the govt was wrong in their resolution
Like this will ever end.
