Sen. Barack Obama canceled his cameo on “Saturday Night Live,” saying it was “no longer appropriate” given the “unfolding crisis” of Hurricane Ike. But Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton showed up for the opening skit.
Standing next to Gov. Sarah Palin, Clinton said she was surprised to learn that “people suddenly care” about sexism, but the New York senator still urged the press to “grow a pair” and scrutinize the Alaskan’s record. Clinton was played, as usual, by Amy Poehler, while Tina Fey christened the caricature of Palin. Palin may not know what the Bush Doctrineis, but in Fey’s rendition, she can see Russia from her house!
