Times Square
A major intersection in the Big Apple, New York City, is Times Square. It includes a plethora of bright neon signs, plenty of bright yellow taxi cabs, hundreds of shops every day, and millions of pedestrians. It is one of the most action-packed streetscapes in the world illuminated by lights and advertising. Times Square has been featured numerous times in books, on television, in movies, and in video games. It stands as the iconic representation of western pop culture.
Hachiko Crossing In Shibuya
As a railway terminal for southwestern Tokyo and gradually as a major commercial and entertainment hub, Shibuya started to emerge. Shibuya is popular for its scramble-crossing. It is located in front of the Hachiko exit of Shibuya Station and stops vehicles in all directions to allow pedestrians to inundate the whole intersection. The crossing is overlooked by three large TV screens mounted on nearby houses. Also, the Starbucks store overlooking the crossing is one of the world's busiest. The Beautiful Mile is one of the best shopping streets in North America. It passes through the heart of Chicago along Michigan Ave. It is also the seating ground for many of the most significant architectural wonders built in the 20th century. It stretches from the beautiful Chicago River to "the loop", a major business district (dyed the colour green every St. Patrick's Day). It is home to a stunning boulevard and broad sidewalks that host beautiful restaurants, exquisite hotels and shops, and some of the world's tallest buildings. A variety of prominent buildings, such as the John Hancock Center and the historic Tribune Tower, are situated along the Magnificent Mile. While you are surrounded by a wall of buildings along this stretch of street, due to the architecture, broad sidewalks and the development of building bases, you will never feel claustrophobic.
Nanjing Road
In Shanghai, China, Nanjing is the principal shopping strip. For over a hundred years, Nanjing Road has been the hub of retail trade in Shanghai. Nanjing is called Nanking in English. It is a glitter of neon signs and with pedestrians, it flourishes. As a matter of fact, much of the part of the road constructed after WWII is for pedestrians only. Along Nanjing Route, several holidays are celebrated, such as Chinese New Year, New Year's Eve, Christmas and Easter. Nanjing has a subway line running through it. You'll feel like you're in the future in Shibuya, Tokyo, as you frolic on this street.
