It stretches from the beautiful Chicago River to "the loop", a major business district (dyed the colour green every St. Patrick's Day). It is home to a stunning boulevard and broad sidewalks that host beautiful restaurants, exquisite hotels and shops, and some of the world's tallest buildings. A variety of prominent buildings, such as the John Hancock Center and the historic Tribune Tower, are situated along the Magnificent Mile.
