This seems to have flown mostly under the radar, but on Tuesday, Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), one of the sharpest Democratic critics of a public option, told The Huffington Postthat she would probably not support a GOP filibuster of a health care bill that contained a public plan.
“I’m not right now inclined to support any filibuster,” she said in reference to legislation containing a government-run plan to compete with private insurers.
Landrieu’s comments came five days after another conservative Democrat, Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.), said, “I don’t think you’ll see me or any other Democrats” support a filibuster.
