I’ve been reporting for weeks about the tussle between Tea Party Patriots and the Tea Party Express, which got ugly when Tea Party Patriots organizer Amy Kremer hopped on the Express and was forced out of TPP. On Monday, Tea Party Patriots filed suit against Kremer; they’re also seeking a temporary restraining order in the wake of Kremer locking down Tea Party Patriots resources on her way out. Yesterday, Kremer put out a statementon the situation, which was also distributed at Grover Norquist’s Wednesday meeting of conservative activists.
It truly saddens me that TPP leadership is expending an enormous amount of time and resources to pursue a frivolous lawsuit against me when this could have been resolved amicably, which I tried to do. Personally, I believe that the people of this movement would not want any time and money focused on a frivolous lawsuit, but would rather have these resources focused on fighting the socialist agenda of the current administration.
In the end, the reasons for my “removal” from any “leadership position” and this frivolous lawsuit cannot change the fact that I am still a Tea Party Patriot just as all of you.
Some information I’ve heard that isn’t in here: Kremer offered to make things right by giving the TPP all of their intellectual property if they granted her access to data and paid some backed-up expenses. They couldn’t work it out, so this happened.
