The troubled–but still sold out–National Tea Party Convention got more bad newsafter Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said the for-profit nature of the event might prevent her from attending. Meanwhile, Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.)–who promoted the event at the December premiere of “Tea Party: The Documentary Film”–has already bailedon the event.
If Blackburn had attended, she would have shared a stagewith Ana Puig, a Tea Party activist whose expertise is on how the Democrats are turning America into a “Banana Republic.”
