I’m late on this, but Politico has a piece todayabout Sen. Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) 2010 legislative/political strategy, and it involves taking a forceful stand on terrorism against the Obama administration. This must be something like the administration’s dream come true: The guy not only has absolutely no experience with any aspect of foreign policy and national security, but his recent Heritage speech about counterterrorismwas riddled with so many factual errors and unsupported assertionsthat it called into question whether he even understands the meaning of the word he spoke.
Apart from that, McConnell is a credible spokesman and his strategy is foolproof.
