In a press release, West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin’s office announced that he will name a replacement for the late Sen. Robert Byrd during a 2 p.m. press conference tomorrow in the state capitol building in Charleston.
Presumably if Manchin has scheduled the press conference, he’s already picked someone and that person has accepted. There are still no indications as to who the replacement is, though there are several likely candidates. Stay tuned for updates.
