Perhaps not as ironic as Politico’s Ben Smith makes it out to be, but Senate Democrats will vote Thursday on the DISCLOSE Act because a number of them will be busy at a big fundraiser in New York today:
“„Why not tomorrow, you might ask? Because there are no votes in the Senate scheduled for tomorrow. And that may be, in part, because there’s something else going on tomorrow: A big New York fundraiser for the Senate Democrats.

Tickets range from $15,200 to $2,500 and the money raised goes to the House Senate Victory Fund, which divides its proceeds between the DSCC and the DCCC.
