The House passed a bill last night that would limit the amount of time an owner of a hazardous liquid pipeline has to report a pipeline accident. The bill, authored by Rep. Mark Schauer (D-Mich.), was a response to a massive oil spill in Michigan this past summer that resulted from a break in an oil pipeline.
