Brandi Mallory died on November 9 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She was on Season 4 of ABC's Extreme Weight Loss in 2014. She was 40 years old. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office reported that she had died. An obituaryon Legacy says that she will be buried in Georgia on November 20. The cause of death has not been made public.
Mallory, a makeup artist, first tried out for the show The Biggest Loser. She didn't get the part, but the directors suggested she try out for Extreme Weight Loss. Mallory said she weighed 329 pounds at the time. With Chris Powell's help, she went on to compete in a Half Ironman fitness challenge that included swimming, biking, and running.
In an interview with Kirby Carrollin 2018, she talked about how the death of a sorority sister woke her up and led her to Extreme Weight Loss.

Mallory said on the show that she weighed 329 pounds at her biggest. On the show, she took part in many challenges, such as a Half Ironman race, where she swam, biked, and ran for a total of 70.3 miles in less than eight hours.

On November 12, Mallory's family and friends held a lantern vigil to remember her. According to her death notice, there will be a memorial event in Lithonia, Georgia on November 19, 2023.
