Gabourey Sidibe reveals she's been married in secretfor over a year. Since the beginning of the pandemic, it has come to light that Gabourey Sidibe has been keeping herself even busier than was previously believed.
The actress who was nominated for an Oscar not only got engaged, but she also quietly wed her longtime partner well over a year ago.

The Engagement Proposal

The “Precious” star explained to the hosts:
The thing about weddings is I don’t like them. I don’t like them. Here’s an example of how much I don’t like them: I’m actually married. We got married over a year ago.- Gabourey Sidibe
The information caused Ryan Seacrest to express that he was "confused," while Kelly Rippa questioned whether or not this was truly "breaking news."
An executive in the entertainment industry named Frankel was spotted in the audience and he was seen confirming the news by raising his hand to show a jeweled ring finger.
Sidibe continued by saying that the ceremony was so intimate that it consisted of "just the two of us" and that they got married "at the kitchen table."
She did concede that they will eventually have a wedding in order to make her mother-in-law happy, but she explained that her dislike of weddings stems from the fact that the actress's own mother was a wedding singer, which means that she has "been at a lot of weddings, uninvited" herself. This is the source of her aversion to the ceremonies.
Additionally on Monday, Frankel shared on Instagram a series of photographs depicting the couple displaying their engagement rings, along with the caption:
SURPRISE! I can finally call her my WIFE publicly!- Frankel

Gabourey Sidibe Facts

Gabourey Sidibe, nicknamed Gabby, is an Academy Award-nominated actress who debuted in 2009 and has since gone on to win several awards.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 6, 1983. Her mother, Alice Tan Ridley, is a former special education teacher turned R&B singer who appeared on "America's Got Talent" in 2010.
Ibnou Sidibe, his father, works as a taxi driver and is from Senegal. When her parents divorced when she was a child, she moved to Harlem with her mother. Gabourey also briefly lived with her aunt Dorothy Pitman Hughes, a well-known feminist.
Her mother, Alice, rose to local prominence as a subway gospel singer. Gabourey was inspired by her mother's talent and would frequently sing and perform in school and community theater productions of "Peter Pan" and "The Wiz."
Gabourey went to Borough of Manhattan Community College, City College of New York, and Mercy College after high school. She worked as an office assistant before pursuing a career in acting.
She was preparing for a college exam when a friend called to tell her about the upcoming audition for Lee Daniels' film "Precious," and Gabourey was successful.
In the film, she portrays an illiterate 16-year-old named Claireece "Precious" Jones, who has two children as a result of her father's sexual abuse.
She tries to flee her mother's frequent physical abuse. Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz also appeared in the film, as did actress Mo'Nique, who played her mother.
Gabourey's performance left everyone speechless and catapulted the then-unknown actress to stardom overnight. Despite the film's controversial subject matter, it received critical acclaim from critics and fans alike, grossing over $63 million at the box office.
She was nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Oscar for her debut performance. Gabourey recalls being a huge fan of the 1990s pop band N'Sync as a teenager and being overjoyed to have her award nomination announced at the Golden Globes by Justin Timberlake (lead singer of N'Sync).
Gary Magness, Sarah Siegel-Magness, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Heller, and Tyler Perry co-produced the film. It is based on Ramona Lofton's novel "Push," which she wrote under the pen name Sapphire.
Gabourey's other credits include the films "Yelling to the Sky" and "Tower Heist," as well as the roles of Queenie in Season 3 of "American Horror Story" and Regina Ross in Season 4 of the same show.
She also appeared in the music video for Foster the People's song "Don't Stop (Color on the Walls)." She also appeared in the television series "The Big C" and voiced a character in Season 7 of "American Dad!"

Final Words

He went on to say that after Sidibe “spilled the beans” on “Live,” he feels:
relieved we can finally tell the world. So thankful to have found my forever person, my partner-in-crime, and the love of my life. Every day is the best day with you. Nobody I would rather raise cats with and be in bed by a smooth 8pm with. Love you forever- Frankel
