Love has a mysterious way of pulling people together, and sometimes, unexpected encounters can lead to extraordinary connections.
In the British romantic comedy drama film, GHOSTED, viewers are taken on a whimsical journey where an aspiring actress finds herself infatuated with a charming man on their very first date.
As their relationship unfolds, they navigate the complexities of love, testing their emotions, and discovering the true meaning of connection.
A regular guy named Cole (Chris Evans) has fallen for the mysterious Sadie (Ana de Armas). They go on a global quest to rescue the planet once he learns that she is a covert spy.
Its cast includes Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Adrien Brody, Mike Moh, Tim Blake Nelson, Marwan Kenzari, Anna Deavere Smith, Lizze Broadway, Mustafa Shakir, Tiya Sircar, Amy Sedaris, Tate Donovan, Scott Vogel, Burn Gorman, Fahim Fazli, Marisol Correa, Gina Jun, Victoria Kelleher, Sasha Go, Bailey MB, Daniel Eghan.

Ghosted Story

At the beginning of the movie "GHOSTED," sparks ignite between the gorgeous farmer Cole (Chris Evans) and the enigmatic art curator Sadie (Ana de Armas). As their first date progresses from coffee to a night spent walking, chatting, and finally sleeping together, their initial attraction to one another gives way to disagreements, which are subsequently followed by a return to desire.
The next day, though, Sadie does not reply to any of Cole's (many) messages. Cole, who is concerned that she may be ghosting him, decides to make a "grand romantic gesture" and search down his ex-girlfriend in London. What he discovers is not what he anticipates finding at all.
The two are now knee-deep in an international scheme to trade a weapon of mass devastation, and Sadie is not a curator as she first represented herself to be. Because the mastermind Leveque (Adrien Brody) believes that Cole is in possession of the code that would allow him to arm the weapon, he has placed a reward on Cole's death.

What Is Good In Ghosted?

Despite having action scenes that are too lengthy and too complicated, this movie is saved by the lively chemistry between its two main characters. This chemistry is what sells the package and keeps the movie engaging.
The first act of Ghosted, which is a lovely first date that lasts for 25 minutes and features the primary pair of the film, Sadie and Cole, is definitely charming.
Evans and de Armas are two extremely different sorts, yet they are unable to resist the attraction that they have for one another. After this introduction, there is a sudden change in mood to action, which may come off as jarring to some viewers.
However, the movie introduces a twist by intercutting the action with a fiery back-and-forth and many references to "sexual tension" between Evans' warm-hearted farmer and de Armas' icy spy. The gender-flipped roles are entertaining to see since she plays the independent action hero and he plays the clinging homebody.
Evans is a little bit more convincing in his character than wide-eyed de Armas is as a spy, at least up until Cole begins knocking down the bad guys with an ease that cannot be explained.
According to some reports, Scarlett Johansson was initially cast in a co-starring role; nonetheless, de Armas offers her own distinctive blend of sexuality and fragility to the character.
This film has a plethora of humorous exchanges and scenarios, as well as a number of cameos, one of which is performed by Ryan Reynolds. If only the (four) writers had been able to reserve more time for talking and less time for the drawn-out battle and pursuit scenes and Bond-esque bad guys (Brody with a French accent), the movie would have been much better.

Ghosted Main Cast

Ghosted, a film available exclusively on Apple TV Plus, has a star-studded ensemble that includes Ana de Armas and Chris Evans, among others.

Sadie, Played By Ana De Armas

Parents Should Know

Parents should be aware that Ghosted, starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, is either an action film disguised as a romance or a romance drenched in action. In either case, you can anticipate a great deal of violence, innuendo, caressing, and a non-explicit boudoir scene. There is also harsh language throughout, such as "f--k," variants of "s--t," "damn," "bitch," "hell," "bastard," and others.
Included in the action sequences are kidnappings, car pursuits, collisions, explosions, gun and knife battles, acrobatic fist fights, torture scenarios involving venomous insects, a hypodermic to the neck, a missing hand, gushing wounds, and dozens of murders.
In addition, there is electrocution, a biochemical weapon that could fall into the wrong hands, the death of family members and acquaintances, a reference to human sacrifice, an asthma inhaler, and emigrants fleeing their country on a raft.
Adults consume alcohol, and a woman consumes an edible. Sign up for weekly Family Movie Night emails to receive updates on additional films like this one.
