On Saturday, the "Aaron's Party" singer was discovered to have passed away at his home in Lancaster, California, according to the sources that broke the news in the first place.
The news outlet cited multiple sources who stated that the body of Carter was found in a bathtub. Other sources within the police department stated that they received a call early on Saturday morning about a man who had drowned in a bathtub.
According to law enforcement sources, homicide detectives were dispatched to the scene of the actor's death, which is par for the course when investigating suspicious deaths like the one involving a celebrity.
In an interview that he gave in 2019 on the show "The Doctors," Carter disclosed that he had suffered from a number of different mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, acute anxiety, multiple personality disorder, and manic depression.
In September, Carter disclosed to The United States Sun that he had checked into a rehabilitation facility in an effort to regain custody of his son, Prince, from his fiancée Melanie Martin.

He stated that his "love for [Aaron] has never faded," despite the fact that their relationship was difficult to navigate. The reality is that addiction and mental illness are the true culprits in this situation, he went on to say,

Aaron, his debut studio album, was released when he was just nine years old and went on to sell millions of copies.
