The International Emmy Awards 2023 were held in New York on Monday night and honored the best in international TV. This year's 56 award nominees came from 20 countries on six continents. The awards are given by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Rhys Darby, the comic, was in charge of the event. There were special awards for Jesse Armstrong, who created and executive produced "Succession" and won the Founders Emmy, and Ektaa R. Kapoor, who co-founded Balaji Telefilms and won the Directorate Award. Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO of HBO and Max, praised Armstrong, and Deepak Chopra did the same for Kapoor.

The 2023 International Emmy Awards were held in New York on November 21 (IST). Rhys Darby, an actor and comedian, led the awards show. The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences shared the list of nominees for the International Emmy 2023 on September 26. India won two Emmys and brought them home. The Emmy for Vir Das' Netflix comedy show "Vir Das: Landing" was shared with "Derry Girls Season 3." The International Emmy Directorate Award was given to Ektaa Kapoor. Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh both lost the award for Best Actor to other actors.
Overall, TV shows from all over the world were honored at the International Emmys. The U.K. and Australia did especially well. Brazil's "A Ponte" (The Bridge), an adventure game show, won the award for unscripted series. "Vir Das: Landing," an Indian Netflix comedy, tied with "Derry Girls" from the UK to win the award for best comedy series.
These years' nominations were shown at the International Academy's International Emmy World Television Festival in New York from November 17th to 19th. There was a big party at the New York Hilton Midtown on Monday night to honor the winners of the 2023 International Emmy Awards.
