This year, Jeremy Renner is spending his birthday in the hospital, but he still feels loved. The "Hawkeye" star, Jeremy Renner 52nd birthday on Saturday was celebrated from an ICU unit. He was there after a scary snowplow accident less than a week ago that left him in "critical" condition.

This weekend, Jeremy Renner 52nd birthdaywas spent in a hospital, but he said he's in good spirits. On New Year's Day, the actor was hurt badly in what has been called a snowplow accident near his home in Reno, Nevada. He had "blunt force trauma and orthopedic injuries."

Jeremy Renner is celebrating his 52nd birthday by sending a message of thanks to the people who helped him get well. The actor continues to heal from injuries he got in a snowplow accident.
Renner wrote on an image he posted to his Instagram story. The photo shows the actor in a hospital bed, surrounded by medical staff.

This is the third update Renner has shared since being hospitalized. After being crushed by a snowplow on New Year's Day near his home in Nevada, he needed two surgeries to fix blunt chest trauma and injuries to his bones and joints. The Marvel star was clearing snow from a private driveway when the accident happened, his publicist told CNN before.
On Saturday, the actor, who was nominated for an Academy Award, went on Instagram and reposted on his Story a video of a group of kids from an urban academy in Chicago singing to 50 Cent's "In Da Club."
The kids from The Base, an organization Renner has been a part of for years, held up signs that spelled out "Jeremy" as they all danced to the hit song from 2003. The American Hustle star, who turned 52 on Saturday, wrote in the description of the video, "Thank you For the Birthday Love!!!"
The post comes one day after the star of The Hurt Locker posted a video on his Instagram Story from his hospital bed, surrounded by medical staff, thanking them for their hard work as he starts his road to recovery.
Renner has been in the hospital since a terrifying snowplow accident put him in the intensive care unit. Bryan Samudio of the Washoe County Sheriff's Office in Nevada talked in detail about a 911 call that was made about a pedestrian who was hit by a snowcat near Mount Rose Highway. Samudio said:
Mr. Renner's personal vehicle, which was being driven by a family member, had become stuck in the snow near his home. Mr. Renner went to retrieve his piston bully, or snowcat, an extremely large piece mobile equipment weighing at least 14,330 pounds in an effort to get his vehicle moving.- Bryan Samudio
After successfully, towing his personal vehicle from its stuck location, Mr. Renner got out of his piston bully to speak to his family member. At this point it is observed that the piston bully started to roll.- Bryan Samudio
In an effort, to stop the rolling piston bully, Mr. Renner attempted to get back in the driver's seat of the piston bully. Based on our investigation, it's at this point Mr. Renner [was] run over by the piston bully.- Bryan Samudio
ET got a recording of the 911 call made on New Year's Day, which said that Renner seemed to be "completely crushed" by the snowcat. "Subject was run over by a snowcat," the log says, and later notes that the person was Renner.
"[Jeremy] is moaning loudly in the background, serious bleeding,” the dispatcher writes in the log. “He is bleeding heavily from his head and other [unknown] injuries - [responding person] isn’t sure where all the blood is coming from."
According to the log, the actor was "completely crushed under a large snowcat" and was having "extreme trouble breathing." It also says, "The right side of his chest has collapsed, and his upper torso is crushed."
