What Ever Happened To Movieswood? ‘Hiding’ Or Totally Gone?
Who doesn’t want access to downloadable movies? And, to top that, it can be done for free. Movieswood is one of those websites offering – illegally, mind you – such opportunity. But where is it now?
Imagine being able to download a bunch of movies from Movieswood –all for free!
There’s a variety of films to choose from: Indian (Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Telugu-dubbed movies), Malaysian, Sri Lankan (Tamil movies), and Hollywood. There are Web series, too.
After serving as home to numerous ready-to-download movies, what happened to Movieswood? Where is it now?

Fans of Telugu movies, who also want to download them, likely consider Movieswood an online haven.
There’s a long list of website addresses or domains used by Movieswood, according to TechBenzy. The author of this article tried to visit them and below are what the author discovered:
(1) www.movieswood.com
This is the original website address of Movieswood.
HugeDomains.com is now selling “movieswood.com” for $17,095 as of this writing.
It can also happen that by accessing movieswood.com, one will be directed to a different website. In the case of the author’s experience, the author was taken to the movie website Fandango.
(2) movieswood.ws
It will direct you to a site that bears the address: http://ww7.movieswood.ws/.
The said website is almost empty.
The heading reads, “Movieswood.ws.” Below it, you can find the phrases: “Movies Watch,” “Best Movies,” and “Movies Movie.” If you click them, it will direct you to a page that will show a link either to Amazon Prime Video or to movies on Google Play (or to both).
(3) movieswood.live
When the author tried to access moviewood.live, the antivirus software Kaspersky showed this message: “Visiting an untrustworthy website has been prevented.”
Kaspersky identified movieswood.live as “untrustworthy” for this reason: “Invalid name of certificate. Either the name is not on the allowed list, or was explicitly excluded.”
According to the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the website address should match the address indicated on the certificate.
CISA also stated that the said certificate should be “signed by a certificate authority that the browser recognizes as a ‘trusted’ authority.”
(4) movieswood.me
The same thing happened when one tried accessing www.movieswood.ws. The only difference is that, as of this writing, it gives a link to a site that lists cinemas showing “The Matrix Resurrections” (2021).
(5) movieswood.nic
This website address will not take you to Movieswood, or any other site, for that matter. Rather, accessing it will result in a Google search.
(6) movieswood.co.in
This is a movie review website that goes by the name “Movies Wood” and carries the tag line, “Latest movie review.”
It has five sections, namely (date indicated is when they were last updated):
(a) Movie Review (December 13, 2021)
(b) Bollywood (November 28, 2021)
(c) Hollywood (November 24, 2021)
(d) Tamil (November 25, 2021)
(e) Web Series (September 30, 2021).
(7) movieswood.download
Accessing this web address will direct you to “www.movieswood.wtf.” It shows the kind of movies that Movieswood offers the public to download for free.
However, the said site is empty, except for the homepage.
Under the category “Latest Movie Updates,” there is only one entry: “Eternals (2021) English.”
Under “Downloads” (the second and last category) are nine subcategories, with supposed links to Indian, Malaysian, and Hollywood films one can download from Movieswood.
If you click any of them, it will take you to a blank page, with a website address that begins with “ojasjobadda.”
If you try to go to www.ojasjobadda.com, it’s empty, too.
(8) movieswood.cs
Still no Movieswood. You’ll end up on another Google search.
(9) movieswood.xyz
Like movieswood.com, this website address is for sale, albeit with a lower price tag: $899.
Currently, its homepage shows links to interior design ideasand home products (video security system, flooring materials).
(10) movieswood.org
Per author’s experience, accessing it will direct you to a site informing that you won something (Beware! It’s a scam!).
(11) movieswood.telugu
Another trip to Google search, not to Movieswood.
(12) movieswood.ac
When accessed, the browser said: “This site can’t be reached.”

Several sites reached a consensus: no. Movieswood is not a safe site. They ask people not to visit the website.
Fresherslive, an Indian job website, warns that using the services of Movieswood is a crime.
ScamAdviser described Movieswood as “suspicious.” It received a “Trustscore” of 30 out of 100.
When www.movieswood.com was still up, Scam-Detector told people “to exercise caution”when visiting it.
News websites District Chronicles and Oracle Globe labelled Movieswood as illegal and “not safe.” It’s “not a secure website,” stressed District Chronicles.
