When looking at the results of each state from 2022, California is at the top of the list with 1,100 pedestrian fatalities, followed by Texas (834), and then Florida (824). Note that the state of California has its own separate Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS) and its findings accounted for an additional 100 pedestrian fatalities.

When looking at all of the statistics for injuries and fatalities of pedestrians, the greatest piece of advice is to play by the rules.
