Penny Jordan smiling and looking happy in her home's wonderful, warm, and cozy living area English author Penelope Halsall, also known as Penny Jordan, wrote more than 200 romance novels. She was a best-selling and prolific author. When she first started writing regency romances, she used the name Caroline Courtney.
She also wrote contemporary romances as Penny Jordan and historical romances as Annie Groves, but these aren't her real names. She also wrote books under the names Melinda Wright and Lydia Hitchcock, but she also wrote under these names.
Half-faced man and woman hugging each other in the background with a big, white "Penny Jordan" text, and the novel's title below it Jordan (Power Play) spends a long time looking at the human world through the eyes of Broughton House, an old English country estate in England. They think the house is the answer to their problems. They hope the house will help them connect as a family. Eleanor has two sons from a previous marriage and a troubled teenage stepdaughter.
She hopes the house will be a place where they can be together. Zoe is the manager of a hotel. She wants to turn Broughton House into a bed-and-breakfast so that her boyfriend, Ben, can get away from his dysfunctional family. Last but not least, there is Fern. She is stuck in an emotionally abusive marriage with Nick.
She's in love with Nick's stepbrother, Adam, who had an affair with her when she was younger. Adam is now working on the sale of Broughton House, which is where she lived when she was younger. Fern is the most interesting of the group because she comes to realize that she is a battered wife, even though she doesn't have any bruises.
She slowly emerges as a strong woman. Jordan's characters are very relatable to women all over the world, even though the book is very long, sometimes rambling, and not very interesting.
Big black "Penny Jordan" text and "The Perfect Sinner" in red font, with a man wearing coat and tie relaxing in the beach as the featured picture After The Perfect Family, the Crighton family comes together for a second time. This time, Max, the rottenest apple in the Crighton barrel, is in the mix. Max is a sadistic, abusive, and deeply unlikable lawyer.
He thinks of female divorce clients as food for his bedroom, and babies as blind kittens that should be drowned. He tells her that when they make love, his wife's trust fund comes to mind. When Max goes to Jamaica, he says he's going to look for his brother, David, who went missing in the previous book.
Maddy gets a taste of being on her own. Attack and near-death experience bring Max a new sense of spirituality, which changes his life and gives Maddy new hope for their future together.
As a result, Max's transformation will probably be too late for the readers who read the book. Forgiving him and becoming friends with him are impossible because Jordan's portrayal of his previous, unpleasant personality is so convincing.
"Penny Jordan" and "Now or Never" texts with a woman without a face who's wearing a red gown while holding her waist in the background Post-menopausal Maggie Rockford, who is excited about becoming a mother through in vitro fertilization, doesn't get much help from her three best friends, Nicki, Stella, and Alice, in this soap opera from Jordan (For Love or Money).
Nicki, the most outraged person, says that the pregnancy is not natural and accuses Maggie of using the baby as a way to keep her young lover, Oliver, close to her. While Stella and Alice have a lot to do, Maggie doesn't get a lot of time to talk to them.
It's hard for Stella to deal with her son's pregnant teenage girlfriend, Julie. Julie came to Stella's door after her parents kicked her out. Alice thinks her husband is cheating on her and that her daughter is a drunk. There are more twists and turns in the story when poison pen letters, extramarital affairs, and a terrible crime are added in.
There are so many characters in this book that it may take a lot of patience for readers to figure out which ones are who and which ones aren't. But there's enough drama to keep Jordan's many fans excited.
Even before Penny writes romance novels, she wants to give readers the same kind of amusement and involvement that she had when she was a child. She believes that love is important, and that it can bring both benefits and cheerfulness. She works from home, in her kitchen, with four dogs and two cats around her. She likes when her friends and family come over to see her.
If you read quite a lot of fiction, it seems like you can "live in other people's minds." Because of this, people have a better "theory of mind." A person who can see things from another's point of view, understand that person's mental model, and think about things from that person's point of view are called empathy.
Reading can be an excellent means of escape from stress, negativity, and all the noise from your phone and computer. Opening a book or reading online is a good thing that can do a lot of good for us in the long run.
