The Vermont State Police published a post on X in which they released photographs of the sculptural piece that had been taken from the location in East Corinth where it was being filmed. The images were posted by the Vermont State Police.
"We tried saying the name of this stolen statue three times, but it didn’t come back!" In a post that was uploaded on July 21st, the Vermont State Police made a joke.
Following that, the X post stated, "We're investigating the theft of this 150-pound sculpture from the Beetlejuice 2 set in E. Corinth, along with a lamppost that was topped with a pumpkin decoration."
The authorities issued an impassioned call to the general public, pleading with them to get in touch with them if they had any information regarding the break-in. They made an appeal to members of the general public.
Those who saw the movie Beetlejuice in 1988 may recall the sculpture that was taken, as it was one of Delia Deetz's (Catherine O'Hara's) ideas, and it was removed.
