An open-source license is a form of license for computer software and other items that permit the use, modification, and/or sharing of the source code, blueprint, or design under specified terms and conditions. This enables end-users and commercial organizations to inspect and edit the source code, blueprint, or design for purposes of customization, curiosity, or troubleshooting. While most open-source licensed software is available for free, this is not always the case.

There is a constant worry in the world that technology is going to take over and ruin human civilization as we know it. People are scaremongering that their normal everyday activities are being used by a robots and that the government are tracking their every move through technology. However, it couldn’t be further from the truth as technology is making us safer in the long run and it is just human nature to worry about a societal change.

There’s no doubt about it. Technology is having a dramatic impact on the world as we know it. However, the change it brings with it has many people wondering if this is a good thing or a bad thing. To put it succinctly, the answer is unequivocally maybe. While that may seem ambiguous, so are the risks and rewards of such technology. Ultimately, while tech has impacted us for the better, it has also undeniably bred negative characteristics in society.
