Monkeypox is a rare disease that can only be passed to humans from monkeys. It was first found in Copenhagen in 1958. Since then, it has been found in West Africa, Central Africa, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Vietnam. It cannot be passed from animals to people because there is no vaccine or treatment for it.
